In the not too distant future, a deadly virus sweeps across the Earth. Billions perish and the survivors move underground. Young pilot Loki (Ross Evison) heads a new mission: Go topside to retrieve a missing scientific team. After a thunderous journey through the Earth's crust they discover the planet surface is not what it once was: Only death survives. They soon learn the fate that befell the first team: Surviving humans above-ground have mutated from the virus and are now flesh-eating.
